How do I get to the waterpump and are there any special things I don't know that I need to find out as I have always worked on Evinrude/Johnson motors. Chief Chief
In the area above the cavitation plate and on the front torque tube remove the thin 9/16th " lock nut. under the cavitation plate above the prop remove the 1/2" lock nut and drop the unit there are 2 - 7/16" nuts that hold the w/pump top on remove them and the plate. when removing the impeller don't lose the key, grease it when replacing the impeller and make sure the shift lever and lower unit are in the same gear when replacing the unit
Thanks, got it apart and may have found all the pieces of the impeller, at least I hope so, if I have any more questions I know where to ask.
