83 evinrude 90 hp stalling issues

Hey folks took my boat out today and ran fine first hour. Then docked for about 30 min and went back to ride and fired up and idled out but when went to throttle up it stalls and dies. Seems to be a fuel issue but not sure. Took cover off and everything seemed to look good. Used fast idle lever and Rpms rose but not as fast and high as normal. Again dropped into gear and stalled anything past idle. So I idled back to launch ramp about half mile to load it up. Any suggestions?

First step is to read up on the carbs in a repair manual. If you do not have the proper manual then purchase one I would recommend here http://www.outboardbooks.com/ because you do not want to use an aftermarket manual. A purchase of the proper manual will pay for itself many times over.

You have a problem with the carbs. Could be a dozen things from dirt to float adjustment to gaskets........ you need the manual. It could even be a cold start circuit problem.
