Checked the compression on my 1983 115hp evinrude and got 130,130,130,116.

Starts and runs great. Should I worry about the 116? I bought the motor 3 months ago and this was my first compression check.

Thanks
Its time to take a peek to see whats going on. Run a can of decarb thru it and see if you get the 116 up. You should have no more than 15 lbs difference between high and low.

If the decarb does not bring it back pull the heads and check for a burned / blown head gasket. If the culinders all look good change the gaskets and deflectors.

Good luck!
