Looking for input on a 1983 Johnson 90 h.p. V-4 motor... Is this a good motor? Are there any known problems to look out for?<br /><br />Thanks for any input.

Very sturdy motors and heavily built. That's why the design lasted so long and so many are still running. Like any motor, good maintenance is the key to long life. Talk seriously with the seller about specifics of how he kept the motor up and test it thoroughly before buying.

I have a '91 90hp v-4. Keep up with the maintenance. An old design, but very strong. I love mine.
