I have a tillotsen carb on my unit. There are 2 rubber lines that run from each cylinder to a block under the carb. I'm pretty sure these control the vacuum and pressure to the fuel pump mounted on the side of the carb. I've replaced these lines with tygon tubing(only
temporay until I can find the right line) and while running the motor, I see bubbles running towards the upper cylinder through the line. The bottom line doesn't do that.
Anyone know what is happening here?
I don't think the fuel pump is working correctly. When running it will cough and start to die. When it does this I pump the primer bulb until hard and it continues to run OK.
I have rebuilt the carb and fuel pump and have had it off twice since to make sure the fuel pump was put together right. IT IS.
I believe that it needs a new carb but no longer avaliable.
I have checked all the fuel line and am confident that everything to the carb is OK.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.
