It's a new battery,starter and cables. it,s a 1984 5.0 with power tilt. thanks.

Well,..... The Igntion draws it's power from 1 of the smaller wires on the Starter I believe,.....
And You Just Changed That,.......

The Power Trim draws it's power from a Seperate Set of Wires,... Usually in a companion mounting with the Big Starter Wires,.. Directly to the Battery............
And You Just Changed That,.......

I Guess I'd say you might want to Start with those 2 Points.........

While you're there,..... Polish Each,+ Every wiring connector, Shiny Copper Clean, with a piece of emerycloth or sandpaper.......And Don't Forget the Grounds,... Both Ends......
Then reassemble them, tighten them Good,+ Snug,...
When you're Happy,+ Everything Tests out,+ is Working,.........
Slather a Big Finger Full of Grease,... Any Grease,... All over the Wiring Ends, at their junctions........The Battery Terminals Too.....
I Promise you,... You Won't have Any Corrision Issues for a Long Time,.. Even in Salt........

You'll Also want to be Doing the usual Shake, Wiggle, Pull Tests,.....While you're Cleaning,......

I Think you'll Find your Gremlin............ ;)

definitley something to do with the wiring of your starter from which the power for the trim and the cranking element of the starter originate, make sure you have all the big power leads connected to the center pole!! usually three cables one small red/yellow wire to the small pole closest to the block and a purple wire on the outside small pole...
