'84 Evinrude 100 V4 Commercial?

Looking for info as to what is the difference between this engine and a 100hp std? Pros - Cons? I am having this one rebuilt on my Manatee.

not positive, but i think the had better bearings, and a lower gear ratio.

The Commercial V-4's used V-6 gearcases allowing for larger (diameter) props.

Substantial use of Stainless Steel fasteners, water pump, etc.

You did a great job on the Manatee.

My very first project boat was a lso a Manatee. It was a 1968 tri hull center console. I learned allot on that boat.

My marine rebuilder said he had a shaft to replace my broken one...... Came from a V6......Sounds correct... Looking forward to getting her in the water......New pistons etc....
