84 evinrude

i have a 84 90 hp motor this is my first boat.we took it out and it cranks fine but when i give it gas it bogged down.so i replaced bulb,spark plugs and wires.it has a gas filter that you clean so i cleaned that .so now when you crank it it idles at 2000 rpms is that normal?can anyone give me some ideas?thanks

JB, they should have used more insulation when they built this room. It would have cut down on the echo.
