Hello. If this has already been covered, please direct me to the correct thread.
I have a 84 Johnson 9.9hp. In my 12 foot boat, I like to have the gas tank close to the front for weight distribution. The gas line is about 10 feet. Does the length of the gas line cause the fuel pump to work harder, reducing the amount of fuel flow and, therefore, engine output? Should I shorten the gas line for better performance?
Also, when I checked the gear oil for water when winterizing this year, I noticed it seemed a bit milky compared to my merc 115. Are there any instructions, links, or videos available on how to trouble shoot the water issue?
Lastly, when I was fogging it, I had it hooked up to some muffs. I didn’t expect water to be coming out of the spot I’m looking at on this video.
any issues here?
I just bought this motor this spring. It performed very well, and I’d like to keep it that way.
Thanks!
