84 Merc 90 inline 6 overheat horn??

Got this motor a while back. When I started it in a tank it stopped pumping water. I never heard the overheat horn. Replaced the impeller. Runs all day with good water circulation. Does anyone know it it even has a horn??? Used to be able to test horn by inserting key into slot in remote in similar motor. Help!!

There is no overheat horn or temp sensor on this engine. It does have a tell tale on the starboard side that will show if the pump is pumping, unless it has plugged up.

You can add a horn and overheat sensor but its overly priced.
