Got a lot of grinding done today. I am using a 4 1/2 inch grinder with 36 grit wheel, hope that's enough for the poly to grip to. Does anyone have any tips on the stringers as far as making a pattern. I have thought about using the pink insulation boards. As far as getting the measurements I think i can use about four 1 X 3's and run them crossways in the boat at the floor height and measure down at different areas along the stringer area. Also after I get my measurements do I need to take off an 1/8 to 1/4 inch for spacers under stringers? Do the stringers need to touch the transom or do I stop the about a 1/4 inch from the transom and fill with PB and tab to transom with 1708.
