back of boat has this big bar to raise whole transom plate up n down, just wondered best for performance as 9.9 is all allowed on lake im at, ive let motor down deep and high seems no difference really, and i hear the motor rev a lil higher sometimes at wot, maybe need new prop i dunno??

What size prop is on it now? For a motor that small pushing a boat that large you'd probably be best using a low-pitch, high thrust prop. Like whatever would typically be used on a sailboat kicker.

Though regardless of prop, it's going to be a slow boat. Depending on how cocky you are with the law, you could drop a 15 on it with 9.9 stickers.

As for motor depth, on a hulled boat the antiventilation plate should generally run about an inch or so below the bottom of the boat. Pontoon boats are a whole different animal so I'll let someone else chime in on that.

i know it wont be fast but we pull our kids ages 7 to 11 on a tube behind it, and it seems if have a few adults on it as well the tubing sacrafices, have no clue the prop size on it now, but it looks pretty battered, only owned fewe weeks on it daily, i notice all the other pontoons @ dock with motors up have much larger props, all 3 blade as mine, just larger
