Hello everyone, im a little confused on how much oil I should add when I fill up on my 85 force 2 stroke. Ive beeb puting 3 ounces to the gallon. That is going by a 50:1 ratio. I know this is kind of a dum question, but this is my first 2 stroke and I want to make sure its right. Its been running fine but I have to clean my plugs off everytime I take the boat out. It runs fine all day, but after the boat sits without running for a while I have no power until I clean the plugs then it runs great. Could this be 2 much oil in the gas. Thanks in advance to anyone who sheds light on this for me.

50:1 is the correct ratio, antman.

If you are fouling plugs it may be running too rich on fuel or you may have the wrong plugs.

50 to 1 is correct. I use 1 pint for 6 gallons which is real close.

I use this ratio with the recommended plugs and I have no problem with my 85 HP Force.

Must be other issues as suggested.

Good Luck,

Mike
