I have a 85 horse force out board that wont start.
I have tested every thing that I can with a fluke tester and I get voltage frome every thing but my trigger, it also melted the wires to the power head
but it still reads voltage to every thing but my trigger even when rotating the trigger gives nothing I figure this is the problem just not sure.
ANY IDEAS?

The Fluke meter will not show the trigger output. It is a low amplitude, short duration pulse. Are you getting spark? If so, you don't have an electrical problem. Check to make sure the kill switch is off.(OPEN)

What color wires melted/

Trigger is only about 1/2 volt--very difficult to measure.

White wire and blue wire is KILL circuit and I strongly suspect it. When white goes to ground, it stops the module from firing the coils. Remove the white wire(s)--there should be one from each CD box-- from the engine terminal board and tape the melted portion(s) If you then get spark, you know where the problem is.

Kill circuit is two white wires to engine terminal board, one white from engine terminal to switch "M" one blue from other switch "M" to engine terminal where it is jumped to ground. Turning the switch to off connects the two "M" terminals and white goes to ground through blue.
