85 HP Johnson Will not start

I have a 85 HP Johnson Power shift 2 Model# 85esl-73m I am not geting any spark, I dont have any power going to the coils, Can someone lead me on the right track. I have no service Manual.<br />Thanks Rich

Hi rkno<br />Right away I see two problems. 1 you have no service manual. You need one. Buy one or check one out at the library. 2 you didn't post your e-mail add. so I can't send you any info to help.

Thanks Alcan I am planing on geting a manul today,I been told that the stateter is bad I have 4 wires going to it 2 yellow and 2 Brown. The yellow wires have Power and the Brown Wires have no power coming from them, when I am cranking it over. I also was told the power pack could be bad,I am not sure witch way to go.I hope the book will tell me, unless someone can Help.

really don't know to much on johnson engines ,but the stator may also charge the batery on those two yellow wires,@ those two brown wire's go to the powerpack or switch box.
