85 J 235 Regulator Rectifer Wiring

Just in the process of putting a new reg/rec and the one that came from BRP dealer is missing the purple wire. New one has the following:

yellow/gray
red
yellow
gray

Has the part changed from the orginal? Someone help desperate

It's been revised from the original design.The purple wire ,which was keyed 12 volts,was done away with since the unit has a constant 12 volt supply from the red wire.Otherwise the wiring is the same and will work fine.
