85' Merc Inline 6 115hp (no spark in odd cylinders)

I have no spark in cylinders 1, 3 and 5, to me indicated that the top switch box could be bad bad. I replaced it and no luck. I also tested the resistance in the trigger and got over 1200 on all, what I found/read this is a good trigger. I am guessing that my next step would be the stator. Do you agree?

Swap stator wires to opposite switchboxes..if problem follows stator is problem
