hello all,<br />i have just bought an 1969 85hp rude<br />which was/is running extreamly rough,<br /><br />idle mixtures were way out which i fixed but its still only firing on one / two cyl.<br /><br />i purchased the seloc manual (worst $75 i have ever spent.) to sort out the timing which was obviously way off. i have also searched this forum for topics relating to timing. <br /><br />i have reset it for ~ 1 dg after tdc via points<br />originally it was about 10dg btdc (synch was way out)<br /><br />i now get full advance at 1/2 - 3/4 throttle.<br />is this right or should full advance only come in at wot? <br /><br />also the dizzi cap has been replaced with a 125hp<br />model. Are these the same?<br /><br />i just want to check before i fire her up.<br />any help greatly apreciated.
