hi i have a 1989 85hp force. can any one tell me how to check my timeing.and were it should be at. do you also use a car timeing light.please let me know if any one can help
Use an auto clamp-on inductive timing light. Timing should be 28 or 30 degrees before top dead center at wide open throttle. Search the forum for posts on timing and you will get excellent instructions.
