86 125 will not shut off

Ok Guys I got the old force out Started right up, ran it for a while went to shut her down and she would not shut off with ignition switch. Go figure all the time we spend trying to get them to start and I cant get mine to shut off. Anyway I pushed the choke in and got it to shut down. Any ideas where to start the ignitin switch was replaced two seasons ago so I dont think it would be that. Where should I start?

Look for a blue wire and a white wire on a terminal strip. It will be on the port side of the engine. That is your kill circuit. Connect to kill. Your helm should have an existing emergancy lanyard switch also. You may want to re-wire it to work. What made me think of that is, we just lost a local boater, who hit a sandbar, was thrown overboard. It is assumed that he was run over by his own boat.
