Sunday I noticed it was taking a little longer to get on plane when I first started out. It started taking a little longer throughout the day then by the end of the day it would not plane at all. The motor sounds like it is running fine but it's like it is only at half throttle when I have the stick at full. I read in the manual that these motors tend to do that when the fuel inlet screen is clogged but it was pretty vague on where that is. Is it in the fuel pump? How hard is the screen to get to? I am a novice outboard mechanic and do not want to just open the fuel pump and have a handfull of parts fall out! Any advice or suggestions? I would appreciate it, thanks.
