I ran my motor with rabbit ears and motor didn't pee. Ran it in a barrel or trash can and it did, so you might try that if you can't put her in water.

Be aware that the pump is pressure fed on muffs , and as long as it rotates, water will enter motor. In water only a slight pressure will feed pump and it really has to work. If pee hose and nozzle are open there should always be a steady stream.

Hi Low Bridge,

That advice is good - running it with the anti-cavitation plate immersed in a barrel means that the pump has to do its own work.

If the motor's been running great without a good strong pee, then that suggests the pee hole is obstructed. Happens easily if you've been running in salt water.

As a first step, clean it out - and the little hose that leads from the motor. Give it a good ream with a bit of wire, and don't run the motor for more than a moment or two if nothing comes out afterwards. Simpler to change a water pump than strip down the powerhead because you overheated the motor!

Worry about the next steps if that doesn't work.

Ciao

The one that is barley dribbling is the one 4 inches down from the motor facing the rear. I now see where the little one is coming off the motor by hose and connecting to the bottom of the engine hatch flange. I'll check it out!
