Hi Guys been a while since I've been on.
Have a question.
I replaced my impeller on the DT115 and greased the shaft all the way up it.
Just below the spline at the top of the shaft, the shaft is shinny. I put on some extra grease there because I figured there was a bushings or bearings there.
I told the mechanic at work about the shinny spot on the shaft and putting grease there.
He warned me if it is a needle bearing the grease would be to heavy and could blow out the bearing.

Is this bearing a needle bearing or a bushing? or roller?
Could not tell by looking in my manual.

Thanks
Glen

Good Lord, yes. It's a roller bearing, sealed from below. Grease on the splines is all you needed. There are shiny places all over the engine. Don't sweat the small stuff!
