I don't know for a fact, but my motor doesn't seem to be using any oil......idles a bit rough, but not too bad. I ran it yesterday for about 4 hours and the oil is still almost topped off. Also, there seems to be some oil coming out of the motor at the exhaust point as the water had some colors to it behind the boat. Also, the motor was peeing fine the last two times out, now it only wants to dribble or spit water. It does have an alarm light......but no alarms are going off. I just don't want to keep running it if there is something wrong.

The oil injection system on that outboard is 100:1, so it's very 'good' on oil. It should only be using one quart of injection oil for every 25 gallons of fuel. If you suspect that the injection system is not working, then premix your fuel for the next couple of tanks. By then you should notice the oil level change. It won't hurt the engine to be running with extra oil. Oily exhaust with a sheen on the water behind the boat (when its just sitting idling) is typical of a 2 stroke outboard. It's not 100% proof that the oil injection system is working properly since some unburned gasoline can also be discharged through the exhaust.

I'd keep a close eye on the cooling system and find yourself a replacement impeller. If the motor isn't 'peeing', the impeller may be worn or a water passage could be plugged.
