86 Force 85hp - unburned fuel around engine

I have found unburned fuel around the engine and at the bottom of the engine cover. It seems to be running just fine. Could this be caused by the mixture being too rich?

hold a card in front of the carbs while running. If there is alot of fuel appearing on the card your reeds could be bad. It should be a fine mist. You havnt found a fuel leak anywhere?

Quantity? I have a towel placed under my carbs and one in the splashwell to catch drips when tilted. The lower leg has weep holes to let out these drips. Because of these weep holes I'd say it's normal if not excessive.
