86 johnson 110 tach

i have a 110 v4 1986 model johnson the tach has 2 wires hooked to a power panel on the consolw and 1 wire that runs into the battery fuel tank area. it looks as if it had been cut i am trying to find out how to hook the tach back up i am unable to find where the other end of the wire is going into the motor thanks for any help

gray wire - pulse
purple - positive from keyswitch
black - negative

it should be somewere in the wiring harnas

i was looking at some other posts and at the tach on the back it has light, 12v, and gnd not sure if it even goes with a johnson it is a 83 hydra sport boat and i think a merc. came on it ,not sure. on the throttle/shifter below the ign. there is a 3 prong female plug does the tach harness, when i get one go here?
