i would like to upgrade the alt on this 86 5.7 liter mercruiser to a higher amp one if possible.It currently has a 55 amp alt.I'm currently running 4 batteries.My 91 3.0 liter has a 70 amp alt with only 1 battery if so what type of alt do i need? If i have to i can make new brackets.
