When I dropped the lower unit to change the water pump impeller there were small pieces of rubber that I thought were from the impeller in the area around the outside of the pump. Turns out that the impeller was intact and the pieces of rubber look like they used to be a thick black rubber seal about three sixteenths thick and around maybe 9/16" inside diameter. There is a seal like this on top of the water pump but it is intact. Any ideas where the old broken up seal came from? I don't have enough of it left to see how big the diameter was for sure. Water didn't come out of the weep hole right away when it started this spring.
