87' 225 vro evinrude no spark???

I recently purchaced an old 21 Mako with a 225 Evinrude. The motor hasn't been run in over a year, although the previous owner said it ran fine last time it was run, and only has around 150 hrs on it. One of the cylinders shows low compression, but may be a stuck ring from lack of use. 2 of the 6 cylinders are not firing. I swapped coils around and eliminated those as being the problem. Where do I turn next? The power pack? Is that what gives power to the coils? Please help me trouble shoot this, since I have little funds for a mechanic. Thank you... Mitch

First of all, you need to get an OEM shop manual if you plan to do repairs yourself. The manual will provide logical ignition troubleshooting flow charts and show individual component tests.
