Cool racerone, I've seen the honing tool but often wondered about how I could bore it myself as well. Do you have a recommended honing tool and are there boring machines that can be rented? Thanks again

I know of a well equipped shop where I am one of a few who can rent machine time.----The man knows me expertise and capability.

Cool! Where I am, I will do some research to see If it is an option to rent a boring machine. Being in Saskatchewan, Canada, prices up here seem to be far more expensive than down south unless you know somebody. I know that for a fact with auto parts. That's why I tend to be the do it yourselfer with mostly good success.

Lol hey recerone can you believe a little over a million for the whole province? Been reading about these lisle 15000 honing tools that reviews are raving about on amazon. Guys with patience are actually honing out .020 with great results.

You cannot bore a cylinder oversize with a hone.....no matter who has a review.

So got a quote today from a machine shop who works with a marine store so they do lots of marine engines. Basically 100 per cylinder that's bored and honed. I though that wasn't to bad for a shop doing it. Crank and bearings look pretty good without getting in too close yet. Might throw a couple of pictures up for you folks to get some professional opinions as well.
