hello folks, I have an engine that runs rough at idle and when increasing rpms.
However there is a spot where it will runs nice. Like when the throttle is bumped up a bit but anything past that spot it will pop sputter and fart right out the exhaust from the center of the prop. When at idle it will sometimes stall the engine right out. I had the carbs out and they look terrific. just as clean as can be, the bowls everything. The guy I bought it from had a cylinder redone and all looks good there. Mabe I'm not seeing something but...... Would perhaps a bad coil cause this? I really need to get this boat going.
