Re: 87 bayliner trophy bass problem

i must have stumped every one! let me re- explain. i have a 1987 18 ft bayliner trophy bass, with a force 125, and a 17 pitch stainless or 19 pitch aluminum prop both cupped. with the trim all the way down my boat porposes at like 20 ish miles per hour it can't get to top end. i went out and bought a stingray II hydrofoil and put it on, the porposing is gone now but at like 36 - 42 mph it starts rev up the rpms when i turn one way of go straight when i turn the other it goes normal, i think the hydrofoil is lifting the back of my boat too much and it is sucking air through the prop. i can't drop my motor any more and can't run without the hydrofoild due to porposing. the boat from the factory had the same motor and i am guessing it didn't porpose so what the heck is going on! please any ideas would be great cuz i am out of them.

Have you tried trimming up a little when you get on plane?

i can not trim up with the hydrofoil not on due to the porposing, but with the hydrofoil on i can get just a tiny bit of trim before the prop starts to not grab. you can feel it in the steering when the prop starts to grab air or what ever it is doing.
