I have a 3.0 litre in mine. With a 19 pitch stainless prop at 4800 and 4 people in the boat it runs at 38 mph I checked it with the gps. One question back at you did yours come with the Faria Sea-ray gauges? They look nice and mine all work but the faces have clouded up I would like to keep the boat orginal but I bought a complete set of Telex Lido gauges with the white faces they were a little pricey I think they will be a good looking and reliable replacments.

Neil, I think the bowlights are a common (perko??) item. It seems to me I replaced mine at least once, and I did not have any trouble geting an exact replacement.

Neil and Blu, My '88 Seville has the 4.3LX motor. It had the white outdrive, but I painted it black with antifouling paint. I get 40-42MPH at 4500 RPM (WOT) with a 21P Rapture SS prop. I plugged the ventilation holes in the prop.

Re: 87' Sea Ray Seville 19 Bow Rider

I have managed to find a new nav light for the bow, thanks for the help. I am now in the process of fitting a remote drive oil reservoir so as to help prevent the catastrophic problems I had last year.........
I have now also made a slight modification to the canopy frame, in as much as I quite often like having just the front part of the canopy up as it offers some protection on gloomy days, so I just added a couple of supporting bars with some deck fitting kits form the local chandlery shop.
I also tried to get someone to make up 2 side panels for the canopy as they didn’t come with the boat…………………got quoted £320…sterling!!
Any way, decided to try knocking them up myself, managed to get some uv acrylic canvas, and the appropriate thread and needles. As I am typing my wife has just finished sewing them and they look great…well chuffed!! (Cockney for very happy).
For those interested here is a picture of the modified canopy frame.
Would be great to see some pictures of other sea rays!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/neilmw/Boat/Searay.jpg
