88 15hp gamefisher starter prob.

i have an 88 gamefisher that is 15hp and i have to change the spring in it and im not sure how to set it up. i need help bad. thanks

Here's a couple pics from a top mounted recoil.
I installed a spring in a Johnson once and I wrapped the spring by hand very tight and then inserted it into the cup. I think the spring needs to be coiled backwards from the way it was coiled up when it was shipped from the factory.
