88 201 Pro New Owner--Wont turn over

Hello All,

Very new to Boats, Just got my hands on a 1988 Stratos 201 Pro 20 foot. Evinrude 200 V6. Problem is I can not get it to turn over. It will try and try jsut wont turn over. If I hook up Jumper cables it will start. The Voltage reads around 13. I am not savvy with engines or boats, need to learn. Dont know where to start. Soemone point me in the right direction. I learn fast and cannot afford mechanic so that is not an option. thanks--Bobby

Sounds like you have bad connections or cables somewhere. Clean and inspect all cables and connections. I will find a link that may help you and post it.
