Hey everyone- I have a 1988 70 HP Evinrude 3 cyc 2 stroke outboard. I've done a search and have the shop manual but am still confused.
Do I have a fuel filter on the engine? If so where is it? Also I changed the spark plugs with correctly gapped new ones- used a can of the decarb spray, and changed the lower unit lube.
I run it with muffs and it runs well for a while,
then stalls out , fires right back up no problem.
Then does the same thing. Is one can of decarb spray enough? Would it hurt to dose it with another can. Would it run better in the water?
Also I disconnected the vro and plugged the hole.
What wires must I disconnect with it? First motor- thanks for any help :)

Try pumping the primer bulb when it starts to die. If it picks up then you have a fuel delivery problem. I would start by checking for air leaks in your fuel lines.
