88 / 85 force ptt question

Hi all, I am replacing the motor/pump on a 85 hrs force. I have no clue what I am doing so any help would be appreciated. After I install the motor and hook up all lines should I add the fluid with the motor tilted up or in the down position ? And is there any thing else I should be looking for or doing?

Add fluid when it's down.
If it drifts down then the pump is bad.

Thanks Jerry, hopefully the pump checks out ok. Do these systems need to be bled or do they bleed themselves ?

PTT seems to be working well. It did make a funny sound when I first tried it .I greased every thing I could think of and it seems to be running smoothly ! I'm going to start another thread on the motor and try and learn a thing or two!
