88-89 Force 15 HP coil info please?

Good day all,
I have an 88-89 Force 15 HP with a bad coil. The blue Prestolites on my motor have a brown and black wire and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. I see some with blue and black wires but I'm pretty sure I read that those wouldn't work. Any help would be appreciated and if anyone has a used tested coil with the brown and black leads I'm interested. Thanks, Mike

Mastertech marine and others have coil that should fit. Part number is 185-2370.
The wire colours do not matter, the important thing is that it fit and the resistance of the secondary winding is in about right range.
