Then why did I think PT plywood was such a no-no? Was it the warping it can go through until its fully dried? Not implying fishmonster13 has done anything wrong, I still have the bow to do on mine...so always willing to learn.

Your right that p/t tends to warp when drying more than cdx. But thats not a problem if there is a place to tack it down while it dries (like the bare studs in a garage wall or ceiling). Or weight it down in the driveway on nice days.

hey ya'll ive got a 86 capri and im doing the same resto.... im going alittle heavy on the wood im using 3/4 .... Now before everyone freaks out yea yea yea i know it should be 5/8 but i do everything overkill... i was wondering on the transom does it have to be 3/4 and 1/2 peice or make it out of 2- pieces of 3/4 pieces? and also what kind of paint is in the bottom? ive tried to find some epoxy type paints and am having difficulties here in Fort Worth.

well got the boat out on the water last weekend and did a little fishing ,no problems from the boat ,engine idles a little high but ran great the entire time. i did end up cutting iut the brace across the ski locker , i still have a few things left to do should have some pics up soon
