i was told the factory prop 14x13
i have a 13.5x15 stainless steel. the holeshot is great but i would like a bit more top end. im assuming a 13.5x 16 would add just a bit or would a 14 or 15 diamater prop be better?
what are you guys running?

fyi i just mainly cruise at plane with me and my girl and sometimes pull a tube.
im not expecting to do 50 mph but wouldnt mind a few more mph's.
boat weights 1775
thanks.

im only asking what other guys have used not what they think i should run.
i told you in my last thread i dont know rpm or mph. my ss prop has a chunk missing and is causing a vibration, so i will not take it out to use a gps.

back to the original question those with 125 force and bayliner 1900 combo's what worked for you?

if your ss prop has a chunk missing you problably should check lower unit for bent prop shaft. bad bearings, water intrusion, and metal shavings in oil. to mess up a ss prop most cases mess up more than itself. and with out rpm and mph you cant do much in prop changing. wot rpm is the most important info you can have to maximize engine life. you need to be within manufactures recomended wot rpm range to maximize engine life. and rpm and speed can tell you prop slip witch is important to get optimal mpg. also engine mount height is another adjustment witch changes rpm and mph and slip. you and the next guy with the same setup are totally different, engine performance and average cargo changes prop needs. hwsii has great data bases to help but without data many things are sacrificed. engine life, mpg,mph the important things. handheld gps+tach=200$ rebuild or new engine=2000-9000$. this is a 2 stroke with no transmission rpms are important to know at all times. hope this helps
