took the evinrude up to the sierras this week. we fished at 7000 feet. the motor is a evinrude 88 15hp with the stupid plastic carb top plate. so here is the problems i had
motor would not slow troll. it would cut out almost like it had too much fuel. i tried to lean out the slow idle screw but it didnt really work. motor ran good when it was wot, or a fast idle (throttle position at shift or higher) . i have a glass filter and i could see the fuel draining out of the chamber. if i pumped the bulb it would kinda slow troll. started fine but just no slow troll.
i have rebuilt the carb and rebuilt the fuel pump.
any thoughts?
