I have a 1988 us marine force 50hp I have 2 coils one on top one of bottom the bottom coil is getting spark no spark on the top coil the bottom is a cdmodule the top is a cdi box and coil it was recently put on by other owner no spark coming from it i replaced the stator and the trigger of I flop wires from the two coils the cdi box has no spark still and the CD module still has spark I've checked all my grounds they are clean I did have someone tell me to check make sure I didn't have a positive feeding into the ground? Well with the key on I check from the ground wires from the coil to the block and 0 voltage but when I turn engine over I get 8volts and I found on the Cdi box ignition coil it's plastic on on side and has a metal ground coming out of the Case it is what's sending positive to my ground but I tried swapping it out with a CD module instead of a cdi box because when I bought the boat he had a old CD module he took off the engine originally had 2 CD module coils instead of a CD and a cdi but I've tried the kill switch thing I've tried everything im at the point where maybe I should buy another coil? Idk any help would be so much appreciated I'll post pics of the cdi coil Im having trouble with
