Try using a electric or pneumatic impact wrench on the puller. I assume you have the flywheel nut off. By the way, I would suggest leaving the flywheel nut on loosely until the flywheel breaks free. Forget the WD40, etc. and alway make sure the crankshaft and flywheel mating surface are dry, free of oil when re-installing. I've always had success with the impact wrench approach.
