88 Johnson 2.5hp how to choke & set carb?

I need help with a 1988 Johnsson 2.5hp outboard. There are two knobs on the front of the motor. The one on the left has an icon of a gas pump and a gas pump with a circle and a line drawn through it. It also has a picture with the knob pulled out a little, a little more, and a lot. I assume this is the choke. That all the way out is full choke, then part choke, then all the way in is no choke. Am I correct? <br /><br />Not sure what it does when you turn the knob to the left or right though? Does it turn the gas off when turned to the right?<br /><br />The other knob on the right is a carb adjustment. How many turns out should I make once it is turned in all the way. I guessed 2.5 turns out....

John,<br /> Your assumptions sound correct.The gas pump with the circle and line going through it is "Fuel Off".Full choke is all the way out(cold start).Two and a half turns out sounds close.You can fiddle with this after the motor is running.
