, poppet replaced with kit, strong cold water stream coming from weep hole. Took apart again, replaced ...same thing. Can't figure this thing out! Anyone replace this before that could help me out. I used the Sierra kit with new gaskets. Photo's, video's, any advice? I've switched the diaphragm around too thinking I may have put it in backwards, but same result. Any hep is appreciated. TIA.

Poppit valves changed over the years, Double check with an OEM parts site to make sure you have the exact right kit, for your motor. Obviously the poppit should not weep water.

Thank you for responding. I've double checked and it is the right kit. I've read on here and other forums about similar problems, but cannot find anything that gives a solution. It's killing me.

Thank you dukedog. I'm going to try another this week end. Just for my sanity, have to ever heard or seen of water escaping through the weep if the valve/ gaskets/ diaphragm were functioning properly? As in, it could it be something else...in your experience? Thanks again.

www end and got all OEM parts this week and just took apart, cleaned again and re-installed. Same out come. I'm at a loss. Is there supposed to be anything in the left side? I saw in some earlier models there was a thermostat in the left. Did someone take that out on me and that's why I've been pulling my hair out? I know I'm reaching here but am at a loss with it. It doesn't make sense which is the most frustrating part. Any help again would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

No Title

Left side of the plate. The right has the carrier, grommet, poppet, diaphragm, etc. is the left supposed to be empty? This pic is not my engine but of the the same relief valve make/model.

Hi Cadet. Did you ever get the Poppet Valve issue resolved? I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy. I also made a post requesting help. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
