Hi Guy's
I'm in need of changing my Aluminum Exaust Manifolds and would like your input on The Aftermarket one I've been seeing on the internet for $799 vs $1000 plus for oem.
Please let me know thanks

Howdy,

I am surprised one of the 470 people didn't answer this one!

(You running that thing at Casitas? What ever you do, don't put your foot in the water!!!

it's ok to pee in it though!! )

You didn't mention manufacturer. That might make a difference. Some here have reported that one of the imported manifolds/risers had poor sealing surfaces and had to have them (re) milled flat.

Hey, there'
this is the link and I don't know what the differance is between 3.7LX and the 470?

Talk to you later

If your engine uses MerCruiser 816219A 5, (which may have superseded the part number for yours) Then it'll work. You're bolting the manifold to a Ford 460 head.

Here is that link http://www.hgemarine.com/products/6219-aclr.html I'm not sure what the differance is between 3.7LX and 470's? I don't know of any other Aftermarket companies who make these manifolds and risers? let me know if you do.
I'm into the big blue ocean less restrictions than Lake Casitas. It's nearly impossible to get your boat on that water. Your right it's ok to put gas and oil and pee in it, but don't touch it LOL!!
Thanks for your input

Yeah. I grew up in Oak View and we never went to Cat***** lake!! I did fish in it once or twice but never caught anything.
I also used to swim and skin dive in Matilaja lake .......(when you could actually go up there!) now I suppose the environmentalists won't be happy until the dam is gone. I hope they all live in the river-bottom!
