Had a piston seize, but not from lack of cooling. Must have been a carb going lean! What can safeguard against this in future. I Do all the preventative maintenance and then some???? The engine was purring like a kitten and running cool. Had just cranked it up and was idling along!!! Plugs all burn exactly the same How are you suppose to know if one or more cylinders lean out and how long does this take to cause seizing? $5500 later, I dont want this worry! Any suggestions? Does anyone know if I can use same hydraulic steering hookups if I buy another Mercury????
