88 OMC 3.0L Cobra water flow

Is there a hose I can disconnect to see that water is flowing into the engine? I need to make sure it's flowing because it got really hot last week because it wasn't getting water and I want to make sure I fixed it before I haul it to the lake.

There is a hose that runs from the back of the motor to the thermo housing.
Put it in the water and disconect that hose.Start the motor and you should have TONS of water comming from that hose.If you do it on the hose muffs then the volume of water won't be as much but will throw it out pretty good.J
