I don't know who provided the distributor for this engine. Prestolite, ...etc. The anchor/pivot pin for the points is CW from the cam follower. In other words the cam follower is ahead of the pivot.

Need to buy a rotor for the owner, next year points & condenser. Is there a GM auto/truck model that uses this dizzy? Advance Auto is close to me. Scott Danforth ? You seem to know the sources. Thanks.

Edit: Started browsing for a xchange for Sierra 18-5418 rotor. Delco came up, but not much more. Good sign. There is a GM dist. out there somewhere with these parts.

No, the dizzy was never used on a vehicle

Need OMC/Prestolite designed parts.

Napa can get Sierra parts.

I will, eventually. I was setting dwell on my neighbor's boat and forgot to remove the rotor. It got jammed up with the screwdriver in the points notch. I broke off the rotor's plastic key. This one is on me.

Neighbor can pay for the tune up kit. Points are good through the summer, but need changing. He knows this.
