Here it is in a nutshell. Friday while out running the boat, I hit an underwater cable. It did get caught on my motor and I did cut it up ,but since then I can't get the boat up on plane. It runs fine at a slow speed but as soon as I try to get up some speed the motor just wont go. The motor revs up ok and the tach goes up but I have no go.The water behind the boat looks like an SUNAMI from the motor, but hats it. It's not missing or sputtering, just no go. I thought it might be the forward thrust hub (It is a rubber bushing in side of the propeller). But when I removed the prop and looked at the bushing it looks ok. How can you tell if it goes bad ? I am running out of ideas , any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Bryan

Sounds like a classic case of "spun hub" the rubber hub loses its grip on the prop. This is so not to break your prop shaft. Send it out to be re-hubbed.
